France LaFlamme, Founder & President
France is an international meeting, event and hospitality program veteran with 25 years of industry experience.
After 8 years working for a Montreal DMC and NYC production company, France opened LaFlamme Consulting Group in March 1995. Within weeks of opening her doors, LCG was selected as Hospitality Consultant by ISL Marketing, then the most respected sports marketing agency in the world. For the next 8 years France produced high profile special events, dozens of hospitality programs and sponsor village management activities taking place at the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, IAAF World Championships in Athletics and Asian Games to name a few.
In addition to producing ISL’s events, France had research and development roles including program audits, feasibility budgets and strategic planning for sport-oriented sponsorship programs. As a result, she worked hand-in-hand with various worldwide and national sports organizing committees and sports properties, discovering their individual approaches, processes, internal politics and more. She participated in dozens focus groups developing solutions to the difficult challenges found on complex or large scale programs so that sponsors could logistically and financially maximize their investments.
In the course of her quest for efficiency, in 1994 France volunteered to help ISIS, the first company to develop attendee management software enabling integration of all areas of event management into one single platform. This initiative later gave birth to a new breed of online applications, which are now commonly used worldwide.
Aside from domestic and international sport-related programs, and countless research and development initiatives, France has produced numerous meetings, conferences and special events. She was the executive producer of the New York Life Software Conferences for 3 years, the GEAC Alliance User Conferences for 6 years, attended by 1,500-2,000 people. She also oversaw all logistics for Biomolecular Screening Sciences (SBS) International Conference in Geneva, which included 180 exhibitors, 200 educational meetings, 2,800 pharmaceutical and research attendees. On the heels of that undertaking, she managed a product launch for a high profile pharmaceutical company, where attendees from 6 countries were flown to Monaco for an exclusive weekend. In 2006, France oversaw logistics for an 11-city “HP-Intel Rethink Mobility Road Show” as well as a 20-city Concert Series, and has produced the first BioScrip national meeting, to name a few.
France’s strengths are international background and business savvy, proven success in client relations, aptitude for training and developing staff at all levels, and ability to orchestrate complex logistical program elements. She’s a competent project manager with expertise in establishing priorities, anticipating & handling crises, and a proven financial administrator.
She has developed long-term business relationships with her clients providing strategic solutions and cost-effective solutions. She is proud to have created a Staff Alliance of specialists that she trusts and enjoys working with, always welcoming challenges of all types and sizes.
